An application fee of £25 is payable at the time of application and is not refundable, however, the same will be adjusted in the course fee. Please note that we can only assess your application if the application fee has been paid

FAQ'S

To apply for the summer course, students must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program, such as Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Catering Science, or Culinary Arts. Additionally, a valid passport is required.

Yes, applicants must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for applying to the summer course.

The deadline to submit applications is May 15. However, as seats are limited, we strongly encourage early applications to secure a place.

A detailed list of essentials and recommended items will be provided in advance. Please ensure that any necessary medication, if applicable should be carried along.

Yes, transfer to and from Birmingham Airport to the UCB campus will be provided.

Students will receive one meal per day (lunch), offered by UCB with a variety of options to suit different food preferences.

Students will be accommodated at The Maltings, the university’s residential facility. A virtual tour of the apartments at The Maltings can be accessed here. Please note that maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the accommodation will be the responsibility of the residents.

The university accommodation offers several amenities, including:

  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Paid laundry services
  • A well-equipped gym
  • An indoor gaming room
  • A PlayStation room
  • A mini-theatre for students use
  • Indoor sports hall
  • Fitness Studio

Health insurance is not included in the course fee. We strongly recommend that all students purchase an overseas health insurance plan for the duration of their stay.

In addition to the course fee, students should budget for the following expenses:

  • Flight and visa costs
  • Dinner meals (not included in the course fee)
  • Personal shopping or leisure expenses
  • Extended stay accommodation (if you choose to stay beyond the course duration, you will need to arrange your own lodging)
